I have not been out on the lake since Tuesday and probably will not be on it until Sunday or Monday. I should be going through withdrawals by that time. I hope I can survive it. LOL Some of our guests are having a great time catching striped bass, hybrid bass, crappie, walleye and largemouth & spotted bass. Yesterday the Mueller’s, grandfather and grandson team, took Steve Borgman of Borgman Guide Service out for their second crappie trip. They caught some real monsters with Quinn holding a couple of the many fish they landed. The Waverly group had a great time fishing with Sean Reynolds of STR Outfitters. They landed their limit of striped bass using live thread fin shad. They had a great time and are still smiling. The Waverly’s rented our Lowe Fishing Tritoon and went out on a few nearby flats last evening. They caught quite a few largemouth, spots and white bass. One of the largemouth was a personal best coming in at 6 pounds. This morning Roger and his grandson left the dock in the wee hours of the morning. They dropped a green light in the area where I have been fishing and had fun catching some nice fish. They landed several hybrids/stripers and broke off a couple other big fish. At daylight they headed to a main lake point and found bass going crazy feeding on the surface. They landed some nice spotted and largemouth bass. I believe they were casting out a Kastmaster.
The surface water temperature this morning was around 78 degrees. The lake level is 558.94 ft msl. The lake conditions have remained stable.
