Hummingbird Hideaway Resort’s guests are having a great time catching fish in Norfork Lake. Most of all species in the lake are being caught. Walleye, crappie, largemouth, spotted bass and white bass are the fish that are being caught the most, but striped/hybrid bass are starting to come on strong. There has been some decent topwater action for white bass & striped/hybrid bass early in the morning and late in the afternoon. When traveling the lake always keep a look out for boiling water as it can happen in any part of the lake at any time of day. Casting out swimbaits, flukes, topwater baits and Kastmasters are all working to catch the shallower feeding fish. Look for points that have some buck brush in the water and you might be able to find some of the spawning shad. If you do there will be fish in the area. If you find the fish in deeper water towards the bottom drop a spoon or a Tater Baits Tater Shad. The attached photos are only part of the fish caught recently by some of our guests. I am still hoping for photos from the other guests.

Happy fishing all and enjoy fishing Norfork Lake in the Arkansas Ozarks!
