Here are several photos received from a couple of our guests over the last two days. Barb had a blast fishing with another one of guests yesterday. She got to land her first striped bass by casting out a 3.5-inch paddle tail swimbait. She is so excited! They were fishing in the dark and also got to land a few walleye and some monster white bass. After the sun came up, they moved to several coves and trolled Berkley Flicker Minnows and landed some dandy crappie including a 15-inch brown nose. This crappie was the biggest she had ever caught. This morning John had a great time catching some nice walleye, crappie and a few white bass. Swimbaits and Flicker Minnows were the baits of choice for all species. I have not been able to get away from the resort the last couple of days, but hopefully I will be out on Norfork Lake in the morning. The lake level is still holding fairly stable and sits at 553.75 ft msl. The lake temp should be on the rise with the hot days and warms nights that we have been having. If the weather stays consistent the fish should really start feeding heavily. It is still early for a shad spawn, but it will not be long. I also have heard that at least this morning there were quite a few bass feeding on the surface. Things are looking up.
Happy fishing all and enjoy fishing Norfork Lake in the Arkansas Ozarks!
