Guests have been doing well catching fish over the last couple of days. Ben found some nice striped bass and white bass way in the back of a creek. Lots of bait and the fish were feeding. I believe he caught the striped bass on a fluke. In the same area today, another guest found topwater action for white bass in 4 feet of water. The Isom’s had a blast. Joe started fishing early this morning in the spot where I fished yesterday. The walleye and white bass were still in the area as well as a few striped bass. Joe was using a 3.5 inch swim bait with a 3/8 ounce jig head. At daybreak Joe moved to a few main lake points and found striped bass on the bottom in 35 feet of water. He was using a Tater Baits – Fishing Lures and Umbrella Rigs Tater Shad and the fish came off the bottom and hammered the bait. This morning Ben headed to a different part of the lake and started trolling small crank baits over brush and did very well catching crappie. It looks like the fish have finally figured out it is spring, and the feed is on. I hope everyone enjoys the eclipse tomorrow. It will be interesting to see if the fish bite during this event.

Happy fishing all!
