Within a 5 to 30 minute drive from Hummingbird Hideaway you can do the following: canoe the Upper North Fork River, go horseback riding, scuba dive, tour the Norfork National Trout Hatchery, play 18 holes of golf, see a movie, go bowling, go antique and craft shopping at many local stores, play miniature golf, go to church, go hiking, biking, bird watching, visit a Farmer's Market, and find an Ozark Geocache. You can also visit numerous Mountain Home and Corps of Engineers parks or visit a working farm to pick your own berries and vegetables.
Within an hours drive you can tour Blanchard Springs Caverns, visit the Ozark Folk Center with their new Loco Ropes attraction, attend live music shows with comedy routines, explore and hike in the Ozark National Forest, and visit more craft and antique shops. The old towns of Mountain View and Hardy, the Buffalo River, Spring River and Mammoth Springs are all one hour away and have been very popular with Hummingbird Hideaway guests as day trips.
Within a two hour drive you can attend music shows and go mall shopping in Branson, Missouri, or go to Silver Dollar City. You can spend a day at Eureka Springs.You can also visit a Nature Center, the original Bass Pro Shop plus do more mall shopping in Springfield, Missouri.
